WELCOME to the official website for our Community Rental Hall located in Historic Downtown Snohomish.

The low, low rates of our community rental facility include use of the following: banquet and round tables, 65 padded chairs, 65 folding chairs, dinner plates, cups, saucers, cake plates, coffee urns, glass punch bowls and cups, champagne flutes, wine glasses and more! Table linens and chair covers are available for a modest fee.

The historic building is a growing favorite for wedding celebrations and our rental manager, Sonia Rahm, is already filling in popular weekend dates for the spring and early summer of 2009! Please use the link above to contact her with your questions.

ANNUAL CITY DINNER, 2007

The simple exterior gives way to a Vaulted Great Room with large Palladian style windows at either end. The original wainscoting and woodwork have been lovingly restored. The cozy, warm feeling of the room, featuring photographs and artwork from the society's extensive collection, makes the room perfect for both large and small meetings. The city hosts its annual 'Thank you' dinner with us, and the local Lions club have been long time renters.

Guests are free to decorate the room for their special occasion using the many inconspicuous hooks that are spaced about the room on which you may hang decorations. Specific details are included in the rental agreement.

THE FULL WORKING KITCHEN
(BUT EXPERT HELP IS NOT INCLUDED!)

Close by are several charming Bed & Breakfast Inns, as are several excellent dining choices -- many who offer catering services as well. In addition, major shopping areas will provide all you need to make your event a success.

Our historic structure was built in 1938 on the Snohomish High School campus to serve as a music building -- but that's not how the Waltz Building got its name. In 1983, our Historical Society submitted the winning bid of $116 (our address number) to purchase the surplus music building, and it was Robert and Mary Waltz who donated the funds to move the former classroom to its present location on Avenue B, next door to the Blackman House Museum.

Again, our rates are very affordable -- please contact Sonia for pricing by eMAIL or leave a message at 360.568.5235 Voicebox #2.
